Dr. Toews

Optometrist

Dr. Warren Toews has been providing compassionate, comprehensive eye care since earning his Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2006. Before pursuing optometry, he completed undergraduate studies in microbiology at the University of Saskatchewan.

Known for his optimistic outlook and thoughtful approach, Dr. Toews enjoys caring for patients at every stage of life. His clinical interests include primary eye care, children’s vision, and ocular disease management. He finds the greatest fulfillment in helping patients achieve their best possible vision while building lasting relationships with families, colleagues, and industry partners.

When he is away from the clinic, Dr. Toews enjoys running, skiing, reading, and spending time with his wife, Cyndy, and their 2 children, Finnley and Jett.

Dr. Prestupa

Optometrist

Dr. Laura Prestupa (née Holinaty) believes that exceptional eye care begins with trust, compassion, and meaningful relationships. She is known for her warm, approachable nature and is committed to creating a welcoming environment where every patient feels respected, comfortable, and genuinely cared for.

Dr. Prestupa graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo’s Doctor of Optometry program in 2011, where she received both the L. M. Newell Clinic Optometry Prize and the A. W. Cole Award for Clinic Excellence. She also completed an ocular disease externship in Pinellas Park, Florida.

Her professional interests include primary eye care, pediatric eye care, and myopia management. She finds the greatest fulfillment in caring for families throughout every stage of life, from a child’s first eye exam through adulthood and into their senior years, helping patients navigate their changing vision needs along the way.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Prestupa enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children and can often be found cheering them on at their many sports and activities.

Dr. Feltis

Optometrist

Dr. Skylar Feltis is committed to helping patients achieve clear, comfortable vision while making every visit welcoming and enjoyable. Friendly, confident, and hardworking, she enjoys connecting with patients and helping them see their best throughout every stage of life.

She completed her Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology at the University of Saskatchewan before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo in 2009. As part of her clinical training, she completed an externship in Houston, Texas, gaining experience in a variety of patient care settings.

Dr. Feltis enjoys all aspects of optometry and values the opportunity to care for patients with diverse vision needs. Outside the clinic, she stays active through sports and spends much of her free time coaching and supporting her children in their many athletic activities, where she enjoys watching both them and their teammates grow and develop.

Dr. Witzel

Optometrist

Dr. Jess Witzel enjoys the variety that optometry brings, from routine eye exams to urgent eye care, and values the opportunity to build lasting relationships with the patients and families she serves. Warm, friendly, and known for her sense of humour, she believes that a welcoming atmosphere can make every visit a positive experience.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology with honours from the University of Saskatchewan before graduating with honours as Valedictorian from the University of Waterloo’s Doctor of Optometry program in 2013. During her training, she completed an ocular disease externship in Bethesda, Maryland, along with a primary care rotation in Kitchener-Waterloo that emphasized collaborative, interdisciplinary patient care.

Dr. Witzel enjoys all aspects of optometry, particularly the balance of comprehensive eye care and managing eye emergencies. She finds the greatest fulfillment in getting to know patients over the years and sharing plenty of laughs with both patients and coworkers.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Witzel enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 daughters, travelling whenever she can, and indulging her love of coffee and cats.

Dr. Harris

Optometrist

Dr. Justine Harris is passionate about helping patients of all ages enjoy healthy vision throughout every stage of life. With her positive personality and approachable style, she strives to make every visit comfortable while helping patients understand and care for their eye health.

She completed her prerequisite studies at the University of Saskatchewan before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree with honours from the University of Waterloo in 2019. During her studies, she received the Academic Excellence in Ocular Pharmacology Award and completed clinical rotations at YXE Vision Group clinics, including Warman, making her return especially meaningful. She also completed an externship at the Tallahassee Veterans Affairs Clinic.

Dr. Harris enjoys caring for patients of all ages and has a particular interest in children’s eye examinations. She finds it especially rewarding to improve patients’ quality of life through better vision.

When she is not in the clinic, Dr. Harris enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young sons, relaxing at the lake, exploring the outdoors, and expressing her creativity through sketching and painting.

Dr. Koroll

Optometrist

Dr. Cassandra Koroll was born and raised in Lake Lenore, Saskatchewan. After completing her Bachelor of Science at the University of Saskatchewan, she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in 2010. She graduated with high honours and received the Clinical Achievement Award in recognition of her outstanding clinical performance.

Dr. Koroll enjoys practicing full scope optometry with special interests in dry eye management, myopia management, and specialty contact lens fittings. She finds the greatest fulfillment in detecting ocular disease early and helping preserve her patients’ vision and quality of life through proactive, personalized care.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Koroll enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 children. Whether travelling together or visiting the lake, much of their free time is spent cheering from the sidelines at hockey rinks, ball diamonds, and football fields.

Dr. Scharback

Optometrist

Dr. Kendahl Scharback is passionate about helping patients of all ages enjoy comfortable, functional vision that supports their everyday lives. Known for her patient, compassionate approach, she enjoys taking the time to understand each person’s unique visual needs and creating personalized care plans that improve their quality of life.

She earned her Bachelor of Science in Microbiology and Immunology from the University of Saskatchewan before graduating with honours from the University of Waterloo’s Doctor of Optometry program in 2016. During her training, she travelled to Kingston, Jamaica, where she provided eye care through the Foundation for International Self-Help (F.I.S.H.) Medical Clinic, helping expand access to vision care for underserved communities.

Dr. Scharback practices full scope optometry with a special interest in binocular vision and vision therapy. She finds it especially rewarding to work with patients of all ages to improve visual comfort, eye coordination, and overall visual function.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Scharback enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 young children, exploring the outdoors, and tending to her perennial flower gardens.

Dr. Macnab

Optometrist

Dr. Carisbrooke Macnab is dedicated to providing thoughtful, personalized eye care while helping patients feel comfortable and informed throughout every visit. Friendly and respectful by nature, she enjoys getting to know her patients and building lasting relationships while helping them achieve their best possible vision.

She earned both a Bachelor of Science in Biology with Great Distinction and a Bachelor of Science in Toxicology with High Honours from the University of Saskatchewan before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at Midwestern University’s Arizona College of Optometry in 2024. During her studies, she was recognized with the People’s Choice Award at Kenneth A. Suarez Research Day for her research on the relationship between eye alignment and foot posture during walking. She was also named to the University of Saskatchewan Huskie Athletics Second Team All-Academic and was inducted into the Golden Key International Honour Society.

Dr. Macnab completed clinical rotations in primary care and ocular disease at practices in Minnesota, Florida, and Georgia. She has a special interest in ocular disease prevention and dry eye management and enjoys helping patients protect their long-term eye health.

Outside the clinic, she enjoys spending time with her family and her dog, Maizi, as well as swimming, biking, hiking, reading, travelling, and playing hockey.

Dr. Kirkpatrick

Optometrist

Dr. Lisa Kirkpatrick is passionate about creating positive eye care experiences for patients of all ages. Known for her kind, caring, and consistent approach, she especially enjoys helping children feel comfortable and confident during their first eye exams while supporting families throughout their vision care journey.

She earned her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Anatomy and Cell Biology, both with honours, from the University of Saskatchewan before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree with honours at the University of Waterloo in 2013.

During optometry school, Dr. Kirkpatrick travelled to Ecuador to provide eye exams and donated glasses to individuals who otherwise had limited access to vision care. Today, she enjoys practicing full scope optometry, with a special interest in children’s vision and helping patients better understand their eye health.

Outside the office, Dr. Kirkpatrick enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children, as well as exploring her creative side through arts and crafts.

Dr. Gerwing

Optometrist

Dr. Amy Gerwing is committed to providing compassionate, relationship-focused eye care that helps patients feel heard, understood, and confident in their vision. Warm, thoughtful, and people-oriented, she enjoys getting to know her patients while helping them achieve healthier eyes and clearer sight.

She earned her Bachelor of Science with a double major in Physiology and Pharmacology from the University of Saskatchewan before completing her Doctor of Optometry degree at the Illinois College of Optometry in 2023. During her training, she served as both an academic coach and tutor while completing externships at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Las Vegas, a rural ocular disease practice in Illinois, and a dry eye and vision therapy-focused clinic in Vancouver.

Dr. Gerwing has a special interest in dry eye management and has received training in laser and minor surgical procedures. She finds the greatest fulfillment in building meaningful connections with patients and improving their quality of life through better vision and eye health.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Gerwing enjoys spending time with family and friends, working out, reading, playing the piano, and creating art.

Dr. Turner

Optometrist

Dr. Zach Turner is passionate about providing personalized eye care that helps patients protect one of their most valuable senses, their sight. Known for his patient, detail-oriented, and compassionate approach, he enjoys building meaningful relationships with members of the Warman community while delivering comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages.

Dr. Turner earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Winnipeg before graduating with distinction from the University of Waterloo’s Doctor of Optometry program in 2023. He has a particular interest in primary eye care, ocular health, and the diagnosis and management of eye emergencies.

Outside the clinic, Dr. Turner enjoys staying active year-round through hockey, soccer, curling, and slow pitch, and is also an accomplished alto saxophone player with the Prince Albert Community Band.
